Dr. Mitchell Poiset is a Board-Certified pediatric dentist with over 30 years of experience and is proud to practice in his hometown of San Diego. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He has extensive training in sedation, and his office is able to provide dental care under anesthesia either in-office or in the operating room at Rady Children’s Hospital. Dr. Poiset takes pride in the care he provides to children with special needs be it emotional, developmental, physical or medical disabilities. Dr. Poiset’s expertise extends to handling complex medical and dental situations, ensuring optimal dental health for all children. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA and completed his Pediatric Dental Residency at USC.
A dedicated leader, Dr. Poiset has served as the President and Board Member of the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Poiset has also served as Section Chief of Pediatric Dentistry, and Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery at Rady Children’s Hospital. He enjoys an active lifestyle, including skiing, golfing, and traveling the world with his wife, Jennifer, and their three children.
